Losing body fat (and that includes cellulite) requires a complete plan that is followed consistently. Your diet plays a big role as do lifestyle habits in general. For example, toxin build-up in the body is a primary factor in the appearance of fat as cellulite near the top of your skin. The primary cellulite exercises you’ll want to focus on are muscle building moves. Now, I know from experience that these are not fun to do. In fact, I would rather do almost anything else than heavy lifting with my legs and lower body. You may feel different and find that you enjoy them – I sincerely hope you do because it will make reducing cellulite much easier.

Muscle building exercises for the lower body can be done at home or using equipment at the gym. Personally, because I dislike these exercises so much, I find the gym to be a bit more pleasant. Most of the machines are ready to go and you simply need to select the weight you’re going to lift, adjust the seat position and do your sets. If you’re completely new to this type of workout you’ll want to consult a personal trainer the first couple of times you exercise. Usually there will be assistance available among the club staff.

If you prefer home workouts, you’ll want to start doing squats, various types of lunges, leg lifts and other exercises that focus entirely on the lower body. When you’re first starting out, your own body weight will provide plenty of resistance you give you a good workout. As you progress, you’ll want to add light dumbbells and perhaps ankle weights or resistance bands to your home gym.
